Robert A. Lacey – “Lace”

I reported to Columbus AFB in July of 1969 with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama. Robert A. Lacey – “Lace”

Bob Lacey, yearbook page 40

“Bob Lacey is a very married man and totally devoted to wife India… He progressed through pilot training with ease. He has good hands and worked studiously to finish high in academics. As a matter of fact, he never went on a flight that he didn’t have every menial detail planned out.

No narrative about Lace at UPT could be complete without an investigation of India’s contribution to the population explosion. It seems she was the proverbial slim and trim gal until Lace purchased a new king-sized bed. Within a month she was approaching the pleasingly plump mode of operation and Lace may think twice the next time he’s in the market for a rack.”
